Background
In May of 2022, Ayo, the Product Manager for Dexter, reached out to me to collaborate on a project to design the mobile app for Dexter, a new platform that had yet to launch. Our goal was to create an intuitive and user-friendly design that would streamline the experience of Dexter's features for its future users. As a UI designer with a passion for creating engaging and functional interfaces, I was excited to contribute to the development of this innovative platform.
I couldn't conduct a user research to gain insights into user preferences and expectations because there was no budget for that.
The design was refined through an iterative process, and I worked closely with the team as the only designer to ensure that the final product met the project's objectives. The resulting design was not only visually appealing but also highly functional, offering Dexter's future users a streamlined and efficient experience. I'm proud to have played a part in the development of Dexter and look forward to seeing its positive impact on users.

Vendor Section
On the Dexter app, vendors have a comprehensive platform to streamline their business operations. They can effortlessly manage bookings, ensuring they stay organized and up-to-date with all client interactions. The app also allows vendors to easily add and remove items from their inventory, as well as categorize them for better organization and visibility. Additionally, Dexter offers robust financial management tools, enabling vendors to track their earnings, expenses, and overall financial health. This all-in-one solution empowers vendors to efficiently run their businesses and focus on growth.

Learning
Our team began by identifying the need for an app that would allow customers to order services from vendors in a more streamlined way. We had a few discussions with potential customers and vendors to get a sense of their pain points and what they would be looking for in an app.
Based on this feedback, we created user personas and user flows that guided the design process. We went through several design iterations to ensure that the app was easy to use and met the needs of both customers and vendors.
Through this project, we gained valuable experience in user experience design and iterative design processes.
Impact
Since launching the app, we have received positive feedback from both vendors and customers. Vendors have reported increased business as a result of using the app, while customers appreciate the convenience of being able to order services from a variety of vendors in one place.
We have also seen high levels of user engagement, with users spending an average of 10 minutes per session within the app. Conversion rates have also been strong, with over 50% of users who download the app going on to place an order.
Looking forward, we see potential for future growth and expansion of the app, both in terms of user base and features offered. Overall, we are proud of the impact our app has had on the service ordering industry and the positive feedback we have received from users.
